Ruby's New Face

Probably scrap this later but I just want to show you my progress on Ruby's new look. ^^


With her being an emu in the past I decided to move on and give some proper meaning to the type of species she belongs to in the new story.


Ruby will continue to play an important role in the story of Ashworth because she is the key to the cursed wombat's survival. She is born a native in the snowy mountains and at that time I was thinking of what kind of bird would fit the description of her previous design as well as the needs of the current design (i.e. red in colour, can sing, lives in a snow environment).


Upon a Google search I stumbled upon a bird known as a CARDINAL (never even heard of seen this bird before - but it was a perfect fit). Now it's time for me to get started onto the drawing of the next full coloured piece featuring this character!


Oh and for your information that photo was not taken by me! Lol! XD I just posted it into the drawing for reference to show you guys what I based the design off of.
